Earlier this month, a man was arrested on suspicion of DWI after police thought he had been involved in a hit-and-run-collision.

According to CBS Minnesota, the accident occurred in downtown Minneapolis around 3:45 a.m. on Sunday, June 8.

By the time police arrived a matter of minutes after the collision at South Washington Avenue and Chicago Avenue, the diver of one of the two vehicle involved had reportedly fled the scene.

That driver, a 23-year-old man, was caught a short time later. Officers told reporters they believed he had been drinking, but they did not elaborate on what led them to this conclusion. The man was taken to Hennepin County Jail on suspicion of hit-and-run and DWI.
