Minnesota Vikings linebacker Erin Henderson was arrested Jan. 1 and has now been charged with his second DWI in two months.

Henderson was involved in a single-vehicle accident in Carver County just before 1 p.m. on Jan. 1. Sheriff’s deputies said when they arrived; they found a black SUV bearing signs of heavy damage, as if it had been in a collision of some kind. Henderson was outside the vehicle, uninjured but reportedly smelling heavily of alcohol.

Henderson reportedly refused to take a blood alcohol-content test and “fared poorly” on field sobriety tests, the Pioneer Press reported. As such, he has been charged with second- and third-degree DWI.

Henderson has also been charged with possessing drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana.

Henderson was arrested Nov. 9 and charged with DWI. After that incident, Henderson proclaimed that he had learned his lesson and that he was repentant.

As you can imagine, someone who makes multiple mistakes like this needs the help of an attorney very badly, since he or she will be viewed with increased skepticism.

As a Minneapolis DWI attorney, I make my living helping people after they have been charged with crimes. It is very important that people accused of breaking the law have an advocate to represent them. An ally like this can help make sense of the criminal justice process, which is often confusing and intimidating, and can help an accused person make his or her best argument.
