Minneapolis DWI Attorney: DWI Suspect Had Jell-O Shots In Her Pocket

News of a rather unusual DWI arrest in out-state Minnesota reached the Twin Cities last week.

According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, a 28-year-old woman has been charged with two felony counts of DWI in Clay County after she was pulled over and police allegedly found Jell-O shots in her pocket. The woman has also been charged with giving a peace officer a false name and driving after a cancelled license.

The Glyndon woman was pulled over around 2 a.m. on Saturday, July 7 because she was allegedly driving erratically. The officer who stopped her reported that she smelled of alcohol and had bloodshot eyes.

The woman was administered a BAC test and reportedly blew a 0.136. The legal limit in Minnesota is 0.08. She reportedly had three Jell-O shots in her pocket and is said to have given the officer a false name at first. She has one previous DWI on her record.

Although this story has a humorous element to it, the woman who was arrested is certainly not laughing. Her alleged mistake has put her at risk for facing very serious legal consequences. Judges and courts don’t look upon DWIs kindly, so this woman would do well to take the accusations against her very seriously.
