Watch Out - More People Are Being Charged With Felonies

The Dakota County attorney's office recently released a report detailing the number and type of charges that were filed for 2011. The report showed that the number of adults charged by Dakota County with a felony of any type in 2011 increased by 17% when compared to 2010. However, the number of adults charged by Dakota County with felony DWI in 2011 increased by 35% over 2010. The report demonstrates an increase in prosecutions and the level of charges being levied.
